Cienfuegos: Igniting Latinas in STEAM
鈥On March 13, 成人头条 will host the 4th Annual Young Latinas Conference, welcoming several hundred high school students, educators, and industry professionals for a day focused on mentorship, leadership, and career exploration in STEAM fields.
The conference connects young women ages 14鈥19 with professionals working across technology, engineering, science, media, arts, and design. Through workshops, speaker sessions, and mentorship opportunities, students gain exposure to real-world career pathways and the education required to pursue them.
Students will participate in a full day of programming designed to expand career awareness, build confidence, and create meaningful connections with mentors and professionals.
Programming includes STEAM-focused workshops, career pathway discussions, leadership sessions, and networking opportunities.
Students will hear from professionals representing a range of industries, including leaders from GLAUDI Collections, Power 106, Capital Group, Kaiser Permanente, Northrop Grumman, Verizon, Girls Make Beats, and Cerritos College.
Participating organizations include Arizona State University, Cal State LA, Caltech, Pasadena City College, Whittier College, Los Angeles County Public Works, and the LA County Office of Education Head Start, alongside 成人头条 programs.
The 2026 conference is made possible through the support of community partners including 成人头条 Properties, Verizon, Kaiser Permanente, AEG, and Aflac, with additional support from Lakeshore Learning, 成人头条 Board Member Dr. Richard Martinez, and the Office of Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis.
